World Inequality Report 2026

with Lucas Chancel, Rowaida Moshrif, and Thomas Piketty
[Description]
The World Inequality Report 2026 is the definitive resource to monitor the evolution of inequality globally, in several dimensions. Drawing on the work of more than 200 researchers worldwide, the report builds on the 2018 and 2022 editions to provide policymakers, scholars, and the wider public with up-to-date information about an ever-broader range of forms of inequality that have previously been hard to trace.
[My Role]
I was the lead author and coordinator of the World Inequality Report 2026. I designed the overall structure of the report, coordinated contributions from more than 200 researchers worldwide, wrote and coordinated the main chapters, led the data analysis and figure production, and managed the full editorial and dissemination process, including the website production and design, publication with international publishers, translations into multiple languages, public replication materials, media engagement, and policy and academic presentations.
